How it works
1. Create an Opportunity ID
The firm's advisors begin by creating an "opportunity ID" on their CRM system.
2. Add to Proposal
The firm's system creates a proposal on the Envestnet platform - embedding the opportunity ID into the proposal.
3. Account Opening
Envestnet passes the ID to the custodian during the account opening process.
4. Data Retrieval
The custodian provides the ID back to the firm via an overnight file feed.
Tracking for Success
The firm is now able to automatically track their success rate of turning prospects into investors and perform data mining to identify patterns that would improve their success rate.
